I just need to brag for a second about my disgustingly talented roommate and her cover of Stay by Rihanna, which is beautiful. Enjoy!

So unrelated but my roommate and I just rediscovered Treasure Mountain! and Treasure Cove! and did everyone else play these obsessively in the 90s because I did and I remember the music and sounds.

News!

I am officially blogging for a gubernatorial candidate’s campaign! Exciting!

Days of Our Lives: Student and Unemployed Budget Edition

  • Me: Want to go see Finding Nemo in 3D?
  • Roommate: If it's cheap yeah.
  • Me: It's $13.50
  • Roommate: You know I own Finding Nemo on DVD.
  • Me: We could just do that.
  • Roommate: I could wear my 3D glasses with the lenses popped out.
  • Me: Yep.

Skyping across le country.

  • My girlfriend: One day I'm going to leave you, and it's going to be because of Tumblr. The only person I'm really scared about you cheating on me with is Tumblr.
  • Me: I'm putting that on my blog.
  • My girlfriend: ...

On Feminism

I just want to bang my head into the ground everyday whenever I re-realize how un-feminist so many “feminists” especially on Tumblr actually are, and how divided, transphobic, privileged, classist, racist, cissexist, and body/sex shaming so much of “feminist” media is.

“Feminism” is such a massive term for so many different movements and mindsets. I am a fierce queer femme feminist and have been fortunate enough to come across the definition that I believe suits MY feminism (and what I would hope true feminism aspires to), from the goddess of all that is deconstruction, Chandra Mohanty.

“Feminism is recognizing the asymmetries in the world and working to change them.”

So what the fuck, guys.
